Aquapanel to a cellar floor
Hi,
I'd be grateful for any advice on laying aquapanel boards to a cellar floor.
The cellar has been tanked and has a concrete floor with a plastic membrane.
I want to lay the aquapanel directly onto the plastic membrane. What is the best way to do this? adhesive or nails?
Thanks for your help.
Charles

Re: Aquapanel to a cellar floor
Hi need more info on the job in hand!! why do you want to put aquapanel directly on top of plastic membrane? are you trying to stop damp penetrating the floor, as aquapanel will stop this on its own! is there damp comeing up threw the floor which is why there is plastic on top of the floor? you say it has been tanked, has the floor ben tanked? what is the finished material to go on top of the aquapanel, tiles?? and what is the room being used for etc????
The more info given then the more people will understand the situation and whats happening and could give more answers!!

Re: Aquapanel to a cellar floor
Hi Dan,
I'll be laying slate or ceramic floor tiles on top of the aquaboard.
I was really looking for the best way to stick the aquaboard to the plastic membrane that is already on the concrete floor. I don't see the point of taking up the plastic membrane as someone appears to have done a tidy job with this.
Thanks,
Charles
