what a mess!! in the
Tiling Forum at TilersForums;
Have a butchers at the repair I did of this shower I did last month.
check the before pics there was two layers of tiles on the walls and the ... what a mess!!

check the before pics there was two layers of tiles on the walls and the bottom layer was over 20mm away from the plaster on 80% of it. I'm amazed that she didn't have them all fall off on her.

this is the job I did for the little old lady for free remember? She only paid for matts. she's on a state pension hence why here bathroom looks a state.

This was hiding beneath. The adhesive was still wet!! 20 years old!!

It was a soap dish insert about 80mm in to the wall. rather than remove and patch/fill the fixer decided to just pack out with adhesive.

Right - Now can you name the 2 tile types?
I fixed the 1st in about 1973 - 108x108mm Cameo cyclamen H&R Johnson.
And the 2nd in about 1982 - 152x152mm Waldorf Topaz by H&R Johnson.
Just to clarify - NOT on this Job. (although the smaller tiles -pink- could have been on for over 40 years!)
