work shirts with printing
would anyone know of a place that i could get some shirts printed up with my company logo on at a price that wont break the bank
i have a shirt printing place near me but they have a minimum order of 24 shirts and at 7 quid or so plus the print per shirt that starts getting expensive and i cant afford that much at the mo as i just spent a 1000 quid
on new tools as my old boss owned most of what i have been using for the past ten years

Re: work shirts with printing
At £10-00 a shirt I'd snap his hand off!
24 shirts would only last me 3 weeks - including my Saturday night out!
As my wife just loves ironing my shirt turn around every 2 weeks.
The coporate image is important so IMO I'd wait until the finances allow.

Re: work shirts with printing
Go onto www.polo-shirts.co.uk and buy your own and just get them to print your logo onto them, and if they wont, their are plenty of printers who will.

I can recommend Inkwave www.inkwave.co.uk they're really good and reasonably priced and don't have a minimum order quantity.
I have had polo shirts made up for my work, and they need to be washed every time i wear them, pretty much daily, and the printed logo has lasted brilliantly for the 5 months or so i've had them. And i only got 3, so that's a lot of wear!
Bit far for you, but i'm sure they'd post out. the design guy is really helpful at putting the logo together too if you just tell him what you need, or send it across.

Re: work shirts with printing
If you're looking for a t-shirt with no minimum order then go into 'Brewers' the decorators merchant, prices start @ £6 for t-shirts and I think £10 for polo shirts, I don't know if they let you have logo's (text only) at that price but it's better than nothing until you can save up for some snazzy ones
Edit: oh by the way they are stitched not printed

Re: work shirts with printing
Tesco's have polo shirts for £3.00 in several colours. Matalan have them for £4.00 each. What about getting some badges printed they would be cheaper and when the shirt wears out you can take the badge off and re use it on another shirt. Do that with my kids school stuff - saves a fortune .... mind you I am really tight as well...

Re: work shirts with printing
I don't have a logo on my shirts, or my name, but I try and keep a colour scheme going. I wear bosch trousers that are black and navy blue, blue/black safety trainers and either a black or a navy blue T shirt, (fleece in winter brrr), I have enough sets to have a clean change everyday as I believe a clean and tidy appearance works wonders

Re: work shirts with printing
Did a course at STC in Harlow recently and they gave us details of a deal for £75 +p&p where you get 5 polos, 2 sweatshirts, 2 work trousers, 1 fleece, all with your company name embroidered (except trousers) Saw a few examples and the quality seemed okay. Not sure if it was a special deal for those on the course but worth following up? tel 01279 865843. Presume it's okay to give the phone number on the forum?

Great Idea but I doubt our own logos would be feasible. To print one offs would cost a bomb. but multiples would be a snip.
The powers that be could maybe suggest to the sponsors to fund them. maybe a Tile Giant Proud to sponsor www.tilersforums.co.uk T-shirt. It would be a good promo for both shop and site when were all strutting our stuff round our local B&Q on a weekend while shopping for paint for our own project's. lol What they gonna do ask us to change?
