Default Quick self leveller question

Hi All,

just a quick one,

when laying a self levelling compound on a kitchen floor (with cabinets in place) how do I work around the feet of the cabinets?

I dont want to get the compound on the feet, but it will need to go slightly under the plinths or am I wrong?

thanks

Mark

if you get it on the feet dont worry because the plinths actually clip to the legs not the feet...and yes get a good coverage right up to where the feet are...

Ive done it before where Ive put 1" baton round infront of the feet, just stuck down with mastic, then level to the batons, once its dry you can take the batons out and youve only got to pack the adhesive for the last inch by the feet, which will be almost covered by the plinths when they go back on anyway.
That way you dont get crap all over the feet so it looks neater and cleaner and also you dont lose your leveller under the units!
Worked a treat when I did it.
