    Default pebble tiles

    have been looking at putting pebble tiles on my wet deck area .
    is it possible to buy pebbles from a garden centre and lay them individually ... much cheaper

    Ss long as they are stuck down well , then yep no probs.. but you will also need a wide joint grout suitable for the gap width between the pebbles...

    do i need to seal them afterwards to bring out the colour ?

    also if i put them on the wall will they stay there until the adhesive sets ?

    You can use a colour intensifier, that will enhance them.

    As for the wall..mmm depends how big and heavy they are..do you just intend to use them as a border or summit.?

    i intent to have it from wall to ceiling with the shower head and mixer in the midlle to make it a feature

    Ok..start at the bottom and work up..spacing with cardboard to hold them from slipping..

    Did I read it that you are puttig the shower head and dial on top of the pebbles/stones?
    Because of the shape you will have no way of sealing the gap around - they have to be fixed onto a flat surface.

    I am doing a similar job in September,

    Interested in how long your method will take compared with using bought mosaics, would seem very time consuming ?

    hows about fixing to backer board out of situ, ie on the floor then fix to the wall when set? don't like pebbles personally, find it time consuming trying to get nice grout line around each pebble!

    Heres one we did in a wet room but the pebbles were on a sheet and pretty flat.
