What notch?
Hey guys need your advice, i'm use 300x225's wall tiles with keraquick in a tanked shower room also 300x300's on a wooden floor (new build chipboards) again keraquick.. both ceramics..
I was going to use 8x8mm square notch for the walls and a U notch 10mmdeep x20mmwide would this be ok??
Thanks all.....

Re: What notch?
sounds ok if walls are straight,i personally wouldn't use keraquick on the walls !!
to quick a set time, keraflex maxi better suited to the walls as its a slow set.

Re: What notch?
I use a 5mm for walls, dont think you can go wrong with an 8mm, your just using a bit more addy than you have to, 10mm is fine for the floors

Re: What notch?
Personally for floors I use 12mm, if there that bad then increase. Chipboard on the floor, what tiles are going down

Re: What notch?
i normally use a mixture of notches on walls 6mm and 8mm just incase of imperfections.
the notchsize for the floor should be fine......but in my opinion tiling on to chipboard is not a good idea as there is far too much deflection in it and should be overboarded with hardibacker or marine ply.

Re: What notch?
Keraquick is great for walls....long bucket life and nice and creamy to use...
I used it last week in the heat and no probs going off too quick unlike the previous week when i was using *** rapidset f/white and it was flash setting in 10 mins in the bucket...had to switch to standard f/set..
