Hi

When setting out a pattern like this or similar, do you work it out the same way as you would for straight tiles and brick bond or is there a different method. And how to you make a template for something like this, and also make sure you don't end up with small cuts around the doors, walls, etc

A lot of questions I know, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

You should have a plan supplied with this, it is a repeat pattern, you will need to find out how many tiles make the pattern, then i photo copy the plan four times, cut them out then you can see how they all interlock, then i keep these and look at them when im laying too show me the next tiles. but i bet there someone who knows an easier way.

hi rockyroo.. just set the room out as you would do normaly making sure you sqaure to room... as for cuts it is impossible to get good cuts to all edges with this tye of design and if there were any then they would'nt look out of place...that design in pic is a fixed pattern and you can get pattern sheets to follow.. usually supplied by retailer...mine does anyway..

Sometimes you can cheat. If putting a tile in leaves a thin strip then put a different tile in to leave a better cut. You can't really tell close to the edge.

the cuts pretty much just come as they come. you cant do a lot about it. Ping lots of lines, As long as you keep hitting the lines, then your square.
