    Default make your own enquiries!

Hi all,Ive recently been working for a building firm in my area.Everything was going fine, loads of work, good money, etc then the last couple of weeks things started drying up even though i know what jobs they are doing that need tiling.Today i went to the office to speak to the top man about it.I was surprised to hear that i wasnt getting the work because he had been told i wasnt comfortable with anything that wasnt basic His foreman had apparently had a conversation with me about this(i must have been asleep through this).I went to the van, produced my portfolio and he was surprised. He had passed other work to someone else but gave me a 30m2 travertine floor for next week as a tester. So the moral of the story is always keep asking and dont trust anyone you dont know
