To baton or not to baton!
Good morning all, I'm just about to start using Wetdec's DP-1 tanking and need help please.
When tiling previously, I have tiled on a baton attached (nailed) to the wall. But when tiling on top of tanking, you obviously don't want to break the seal by nailing through it.
Please could someone tell me what to do?
I have also bought a B&D BDL230S laser level and am confused as to how to use it. If I mark a line on one wall and move all around the room, by the time I get to where I started, it is approx 3cm out and the room is only four square metres!
Regards, Barry

Re: To baton or not to baton!
Tradetiler do these rubi baton stands.

You can use these to support the batten and tile off that to stop you from puncturing the membrane. Could be a solution to the problem. As stated above though with the use of a level laser it depends greatly on the floor. If wooden the deflection of you standing on it can be enough to through it off. So make sure its standing on summit solid

Re: To baton or not to baton!
as with diamond, I go battenless. I mark a datum and tile up to it from the floor. It also saves doing all the horrible bottom course cuts at the end, (far better to do them first and get them over and done with
