    Default good signs?

    Hi all,
a builder who i do tiling for(plenty too) rang me this wk,
i tiled a house for him 2 weeks ago, kitchen walls still to tile so he wants them done next week then i'll invoice him but he rang me again today,he sold another 4 houses this week !! a real happy man on the phone, lol
i have plenty of work ahead now cause i count 6 for him now to tile but this is a good sign i think in the current climate.
It's nice to hear people are still buying.

things will pick up a bit over the summer months as this is the house buying season, hopefully it kicks the trend off but i don't think many people will have loads of work on heading into the winter unfortunately

    Grrrrrrrrreattt news to hear!

I keep hearing lots of mixed stories out there. Our story is that online sales remain healthy but retail is jumpy. Lots of retail buyers at the sheds trying to make do with existing product lines rather than "risk" introducing new (and therefore unknown) products.

I think the common vibe is if you can survive now you are in good shape for the future. Its just a question of hanging in.

On a personal note I am expecting my first addition in 3 months time....

Lets hope we can keep going to pay for those prams and cots.

Or it could be a cardboard box !

The missus sells houses for persimmon,

She's sold at least 2 a month for the last 3 months, she's sold 4 this month, more than she sold in the last half of last year.......

And someone walked in yesterday and offered to buy an enire block of 12 apartements waiting to be built!!

There are alot of investors floating about again now trying to pick up bargains before news of the pickup becomes widespread.

All the sites in her area have been shifting houses again, early days but a good sign.
