    Shocking.....

I have been to 3 bathroom jobs this week where they have been told by previous tradesman that tile on tile is OK

The plasterboard on 2 jobs was corrogated eggbox plasterboard wall, with no studwork and they wanted me to fix another skin of tiles!!!!!!

Too many jokers out there and this is the result....As much as the reccesion has cut my work load im hoping it continues for another few years, It will sort the good from the bad and when it does pick up good tradesman will be on the £££

I'd like to put money on the fact that bath has no feet attached and is just resting on top of the tiles, it looks far too low down, or is it sunken into the floor?

See this sort of thing really gets to me. There are so many decent tilers and tradesmen out there who could do with the work, yet some cowboy comes along, undercuts them, does a nightmare job and then disappears.

Why do people always think cheaper is the better option? Why are so many people so thick that they think you can get quality work for naff all in cost?

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. We need some form of licensing system in this country for tiling as a minimum. It won't be long before some idiot whacks up huge slabs of travertine on fresh plaster and they fall off and hurt someone. Thats what it will take for the government to actually do something to combat all the cowboys and rogues out there.
