    Default Training schools

My local training school has a advert in the local paper saying there is a shortage of 15,000 tilers in the UK, and you could earn £40,000 per year, do you think this is giving out the wrong message to new tilers?

Yes it is definately, telling people that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...I wonder if quizzed, they would be able to prove the source of 15,000 shortage, who the hell would know this statistic.IMO they are very transparent, and are enticing money from people

I'm not 100% convinced on this shortage of 15000 tilers either. Would like to see their source.

Not as bad as some training providers that claim there are 30k+ shortage....

However, claiming 40k a year is just stupid really, I there is just no way anyone doing a course like that is going to make 40k.... Trained electricians, plumbers and engineers don't always make that kind of money.

    Edit:

I think the problem is, these centres target the greedy and vulnerable too... lots of newly redundant / unemployed people go on these things, thinking it is the answer to their problems; 4-weeks and £2000 later they realise they have been (at best) mislead.

Just a quickie about the above,
Its not us that advertises in the locals but another centre based in the south We recently had seo carried out on our site and the company that did it had obviously had a look around at other sites etc and decided to change some text around and also as part of the seo technnique article submission was mentioned but as I'm too busy the company did these themselves without proofing them first and voila you have the forementioned article. Needless to say I was not a happy bunny
