just posted a similar post in the poll section. Personally I think the Oldham area is quiet at the moment. I have asked the local tile shops if they are busy and it seems not. Probably down to the holiday season.

we have turned over £24.5K this week,have been very lively for months,and customer orders exceed £30k,no sign of a downturn here

iv been ok but talking to other trades they says its the worst year for a long while they seem to think because of the crap weather people are using the money to go on holiday instead of spending it on their house

This is the busiest I have ever been, I am struggling to fit the jobs in, mind you I still only do evenings and weekends but still. Had to put 4 days hols in this week to do a bathroom.

One independent retailer who do's contract work have told me that some the new property's they work on are completed then being boarded up because they cannot sell them. (south east)

Dave posted that the last week in July which is still good to have almost 8 weeks work ahead of you.
At the moment it looks like i have about 2 weeks ahead, which i am happy with.
