Default 2mm spacers with floor tiles? or another size?

Im fitting 31x45cm tiles to the wall using 2mm spacers, but was wondering if I should use the 2mm spacers with the 31x31 floor tiles that I have, or go for something bigger?
I have purchased a load of 4mm spacers, but now unsure what to do.
    or
do I go 3mm for everything

The tiles are Padova, and I have underfloor heating (if that makes any difference?)

    Many thanks

Have you confered with the client? what colour grout are you using? why do yo need the same grout line as the walls?
Personally I would go for 3-4mm if the floor was reasonably level and the tiles were all the same batch code, other wise I would consider 5mm. Ultimately it is what the client wants thats important.

2mm isn't really ideal for floors although when using travertine or polished tiles it is more common, however if you are planning to match the grout lines through the floors and wallls i would opt for 3mm as 4mm seems a bit big for walls,if there is no need to match the grout lines then 4mm would be ideal for floors

I like 3mm on floors. But as grumps says might be safer with 4's as there is UFH, especially if its ply.

It is a concrete floor (with insulation boards under the UFH). Probably going to use ivory grout on the walls, but not sure what colour for the floor grout...... any ideas people?

Me, id go gery on the floor, or silver grey, but thats it, still has to be grey if its a floor.

Anything else will end up grey in time.

Wasn't commenting on the use of spacers, that is up to the individual tiler, was enquiring as to whether you would go down to a 2mm joint on a timber floor?
