Lots of area's and for different reasons, can be used in bathrooms / shower cubicles / wet-rooms, wall and floor for water resistance and for leveling, depending on make and type.

Depending on application and substrate, can be fixed to stud work or dot and dabbed with a secondary mechanical fixing for extra strength.

Different brands and types will have different uses so one will be better than another depending on use.
