Try lithofin cement away this should sort your problem, cant exactly say why its happened as you dont say whether its normal grout or flexible, or if its a matt finish tile etc...
You have probabaly left the grout to long before washing off and have'nt quite removed it all after washing...

dhc is spot on, cement away works brilliantly. just make sure you wear kneepads and gloves... that stuff is strong, and it hurts your knees and hands if you dont wear them. or maybe im just a pansy. lol
Try and allways do 3 washes with a sponge, as two doesn't allways quite get everything... and lots and lots of clean water.

Yup, agree with Dave, probably left it too long before washing the grout off.

yeah, flexi grout can be a pig, especially if gt1 is used. You have to wash off the grout very soon after applying. Just make sure your sponge is wringed out as much as possible. Also, get a bunch of white pads... I use the vileda ones. Theyre brilliant for scouring off grout.

Constantly use clean water every few yards grouted, and have the water as hot as you can stand it this helps break down the grout on the tiles surface.Always throw dirty grout water on waste ground,(usually behind garage or garden shed) never down drains !!
