    Default un grouted floor

    Hello all

I'm just starting out and working on only my second flooring job. I've underestimated the time it's going to take me to complete this job and just wondered wether it's acceptable to leave floor tiles in a hallway and kitchen fixed but un grouted over the weekend? I've used BAL rapidset flexi grey adhesive...Many thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem once had to leave a floor and wall ungrouted for two weeks. Halfway through job and client announced they were going on holiday and i couldn't go back for a fortnight .

As per Faithy, the only issue will be dirt and food etc getting in to the grout joints (assume it's a domestic occupied property).

I often cover floors with dust sheets if the customer is likely to use a room before I have had chance to grout.

The kitchen will be in full use. I've just told them to not go in there in out door shoes and avoid spillages..Cheers all

Should be no problem but the type of tile (ceramic/stone etc) is important especially for the unprotected edges.
If you've allowed access by others onto the floor and they chipped the edge - you'll have to replace it!
Between days on a job always put the onus on the customer to take rsponsibility/care with the unfinished job.
As Faithhealer - clean all joints before grouting.
