    Default Wall / Floors first

    When starting a new room do you guys start on the walls first then complete the flooring ?

    It makes sense to do walls first, stops all the crap getting on the newly laid floor.

    drop sheets if walls iine up with floor .also bottom cut looks neater on top .my choice (wall tile cut down on top of floor )

    as above, tile walls leaving the bottom row until floor
    is done then wall tile sits on floor tile better finish

    I would rather tile the floor 1st especially if the joints on the floor are to follow up the walls. The job i am on at the moment use the same floor tile on walls and floor. I find it easier to tile floor after setting out and then just line up the walls off the floor joints.
    As for cleaning the floor....dont be so messy and tiles are easy to clean If you drop adhesive or a bare floor you still have to clean up.

    walls first leaving bottom cuts till after floor. if i have to do the floor first ie to line up tiles from floor to walls i cover the floor with polyurethane sheets fastened down with masking tape to keep it clean.

    Walls first but as said if they want wall and floor lines to follow, floor first
