DIY Related: Aquapanel joints

Hi,
I was wondering whether anyone could help me with some advice on aquapanel joints - I've not used aquapanels before. I am fitting aquapanel to stud walls (one new & one existing) where a shower bath will be fitted. I got the aquapanel from Wickes (a 4 for the price of 3 offer on at the moment!). Originally I planned to leave a 3mm gap between adjacent boards, fill with tile adhesive when tiling and embed jointing tape in the adhesive. However, I noticed that Wickes also sell an proprietary aquapanel adhesive (to be used with a mastic gun). When using this it is claimed that the first board is fitted the adhesive run up the side of it and the adjoining board butted up to leave a gap no more than 1mm. This method seems less messy than the tape method but I've not heard of anyone else who has used it. Another advantage would be slighly more space to fit the joint onto a 3"x 2" CLS stud, which is only 38mm wide! Any help would be much appreciated...

I've never seen it used but if they reccomend it give it a try. Most sheds use some kind of major company for there materials under another name.
