HELP please. using tile for skirting.
hey guys. doing a kitchen floor soon 17m˛ and have to use tiles for the skirting boards. was wondering whats the best way of doing it and how to keep it level.
any tips would be great

Keep your floor tiles flat and then the tile skirts will sit ok....
If the floor is out of level but flat and then you try and level the skirts it will look out of place as you will have varying sized cuts around the perimeter...so keep the floor flat and cut all the skirts the same size and it will look fine....

As dave says...keep your floor as flat as poss then i allways cut two pieces of skirt one at each end and use a line (like a brickie would do) just to keep your tops straight.

yes - dont sit the skirt straight ontop of the floor - leave a small gap as you would when wall tiling. Silicone the joint

another wee question. would i leave the same size of gap at around the edges as if i wasn outting on wooden skirt???
