Im not loooking forward to monday!
Ok, starting Monday I have 3 days to patch a random amount of kitchen wall tiles in this pub kitchen while the main contractor rips up 20m offloor tiling + screed and relays the screed for me to re-tile. I also have 20m lin skirting tiles to fix plus randoms ones to re-fix then finally I have to rip out and re-grout the entire kitchen floor. This is about 40m and the work has to be completed within the given timeframe.
Im not looking forward to Monday

Re: Im not loooking forward to monday!
I cant see the job till I get there Monday. I have to work in the room while the contractor rips up 20m of the floor and relay it so the order of works is pretty messed up. I smell some night shifts!

I was just going to say it sounds like a night job that! Is the pub still open?

Re: Im not loooking forward to monday!
No Dan, They shut the pub last night and when we got there this morning the kitchen had been emptied of the utilities. There were two steel chequer plates about 2000x500 screwed to the centre of the floor. I ripped them up and it was gross underneath. The contractor has today ripped up that section of floor to almost 2ft deep, DPM'd, concrete then screed tommorow. I got back Weds to tile the 5m area and patch random floor tiles and skirts. Its a total bodge if you ask me coz the screed is going to get no time at all to dry out. Kitchen has to be free for Thurs to refit the utilities.
