    Default should i seal these tiles?

    hi all......

    have a sealing question....

    am tiling a shower over the long weekend. customer has UNGLAZED ceramic tiles (slate effect). i know that generally speaking ceramic tile does not need to be sealed, but the fact that it is unglazed worries me.

    any advice please....

    hi brad do a moisture check {wet your finger wipe on tile does water penetrate the tile or wipe off leaving no water mark} if water goes in id recomend sealing check with tile supplier to see which sealer is recomended most likley a impregnator so as not to make surface slippery

    thanks jay. did some further investigating after my query. seems as tho sealing is the answer. going to use a product called mattstone from a company called LTP. check out their website, its good. thanks for the interest mate.

    Ltp is brilliant stuff,i use it all the time for everything sealing,cleaning polishing up.miles better than anything else i have used
