Sorry that should be better, album was set to private.

Genuiningly speechless at the moment. His opinion was that the adhesive sticks to sh** like a blanket and I shouldn't worry...

Awful - I think you can get the gist of what to do from the responses above!! Get him back to remove and clean the tiles. Any he breaks he must replace. Get someone else to put them up afterwards

We have just had him round, but what are you supposed to say.

He said the walls that have hardibacker on are done correctly with more tile adhesive, but because this wall was so badly rendered, he had to do it like this...

I don't know where to go with this... he is supposed to be starting again in the morning.

If the wall was so bad he shouldn`t of tiled it until it was done or prepped properly end of....IF....he`d been a tiler he`d of know this and done it properly i`d be checking the other walls too if it was me after seeing that workmanship or lack of it.

    More pictures:

Should there be a bigger gap in the corner for the silicone expansion joint?

We were having a mirror recessed into the walls, we asked him to put the 6mm hardiboard on:

Should the mosaic still below the tiles:

I hoped they were be flush...

Overall I am gutted, so much time and hard work went into the prep.

I am going to ask him to walk away.......

    utter B,S
Me thinks he was only thinking about saving some money on material costs
all for a sake of £60.
"Look i didnt mention this at the beggining but its going to cost you more than what i first quoted you" (lets say he didnt notice the walls not being level.)
You as a customer will probally think hes rippen you off but once he showed the fault i,m sure you would of excepted his good word and excepted him to re quote you.
A true Tradesman would of stood his ground and lead you in the right direction in getting the problem corrected.
I to would like to know how this cook up was found by you.
This is a warning to all who have any work done .

I/we have a rule that on every job from start to finish you should always take photos of before / during /and after, showing the client every part of your job process for any future references.
So please ask for photos of the job for any refereces.
A true tradesman will not feel angered by this.

It's the bad light, it's sand cement and lime mix. Not bonding.

I have started taking them down which is quite disheartening.

Should there be a gap between tile and bath rim for silicone?

Should those mosaics definately sit flush?

Just checking before ripping it all down
