Well thats almost it for us for a month now.... We're off to do the IDEAL HOME SHOW at Londons Earls Court.

I will be about until 9am each weekday morning to run 365 Drills but then its on the train and working from 11am until 9pm every week day.

At the weekends its from 9am until 6pm.

If you get a chance please come along and say HI !



The heart of our stand is the tile panel showing how versatile the BFKMX tile drills are. And has been rebuilt from scratch. its now a Solid 12mm thick glaze porcelain tile glued (and now screwed) to a thicker 20mm tile MDF board.

We had to reinforce everything because of problems with people pulling the bits off the display.

As you can see even the copper pipes have been glued to the board and then reinforced with nuts and bolts. Even the yellow guide plate has also been reinforced with chrome nuts and bolts again to prevent the plate being prised off. In the past some people are so persistent they stand at the display and literally pull the bits off the board !

This board will be in use for 275 hours of live demonstrations and is the result of the experiences from previous events....

For those of you planning a project (perhaps a new bathroom) then do come by and stop. I have built a kitchen at the back of the stand so you can be sure of a free coffee.. Dont knock it... Exhibition prices are £4.95 for coffee. £9 for a burger. £3.75 for a muffin.

Leave some money behind the only bar/cafe, and as an exhibitor you'll be able to get yourself beers at the end of the night - and they don't track that well and end up giving you way too much for you money - it makes buying your food much cheaper in the end then

Show me the plan of hall one (ground floor only hall as far as I know when I did it) and I'll show you where the bar is, generally you'll have busy spells throughout the day butr the end of the night when they turn the heating off (to get rid of the customers) you'll get a bit bored up there in hall 2 upstairs.

Mrs Patel (the franchise owner of the place you'll probably get your pie or sausage roll breakfast from from time-to-time) will stick cash behind the bar for you (just do like £50 a time max) and then sort you and your colleagues drinks out just by showing your pass to them. They don't manage to track it well if you send various 365drills staff up to the bar to be served by various staff behind the bar. Just a tip.


There's a pizza place that does breaky's too, if you go out the second main entereance in from the big hall, so as you enter the hall from your end turn left, and go outside, walk across the carpark and turn left, and walk down there, you'll see a cafe, they do regular deliveries into the show, so get to know your close stalls (as you will, it's cool that way, as it's so long) and share the delivery price on your breaky. It pee's off the organisors but they allow it. Very Big Tip To Save Cash - their prices are fair. p.s. they do tea too.

Thanks Dan! Hopefully we will find our feet but I will take your tips on board. I am hoping that by installing a kitchen at the back of the stand we can survive without paying London prices. I even have a fridge at the back (£19.99 argos) that holds 2 x pints of milk !!!
