floor dilemna?
I am tiling a hallway floor with 60x60 ceramic tiles (athens mocha) its for a friend and they have supplied the slc, adhesive and grout which they got from jamies tiles, the slc is going over an asphalt floor which will be primed 1st with a standard sbr, will the standard slc be usable over asphalt? i also have a single part flexi addy( standard bag) and have sovereign flexi grout to finish, i have said that a latex slc would be better but they dont want to pay the extra,is it worth taking the risk to use standard slc onto asphalt? any help appreciated..

Re: floor dilemna?
All depends how flat it is but if you feel as the fixer it needs a slc then push for it

Re: floor dilemna?
ashphalt can expand/contract with temperture, so i would definatly use latex/flexible SLC

Re: floor dilemna?
The slc is sovereign slc which was recommended by the tile place and is flexible so should this be ok to use?

Re: floor dilemna?
I've never used the sovereign slc but have used their porcelflex and never had any problems with it. Sovereign are a major company in many aspects of the building industry but love mapei eco for self leveling
