    Default Wall Preparation Quote

    Hi Everyone,

I need to prepare my two solid (brick) bathroom walls for tanking, then tiling with marble tiles.

I can either apply a tile backer board myself or render it with a sand/cement render.

As I am not confident at rendering I have had a quotation.

The walls are approx 2 metres X 2 metres. (8 metres Sq in total)

I have been quoted £250.00 to do this work.

Can anyone tell me if this is a reasonable quote of or if it would be cheaper for me to apply a backer board?

    Many thanks

    Chris

Put backer board up yourself - save you lots and better surface to tile to.

it would probably work out cheaper just to render the walls obviously backer is better to tile on
