I'd use a single part flexible adhesive (powdered, not tubbed stuff) Marnie

agree with doug. mind you i always do as he knows more than me.
i have had the pleasure of tiling around a few agas which i imagine have the same properties as a wood burner. single part flexi and flexi adhesive.
