Another slate post
Laid a few floors now and am taking the plunge into the world of slate. Have read a lot of previous posts regarding the subject. Am I right in thinking that most of the problems encounterd are to do with uncalibrated tiles and the grouting process/sealing issues.
Job is for a mate so being quite honest about the problems I could come across. He hasn't a clue about tiling, thought it would take me 2 days for 32m2! I lost the argument for him to buy slate effect but have pretty much persuaded him to buy calibrated tiles. Will this make my job a fair bit easier?
Will seal the tiles prior to laying and before grouting.
Are there any other major issues people have when laying slate or can I rest easy.
Cheers
Pete

Waste of time sealing before laying IMO just work clean
