Plumbers putty has some sort of oil in it that will stain natural stone, so don't use it on that.

Simple? I dont think so!

1) You are restricted to small sizes only.
2) The drill is carbide so will burn out.
3) You can only drill floors. What about the mirror and cabinet on the wall.
4) Its too fussy.

If you want to drill a hole quickly, neatly and without any fuss you MUST use diamonds.

My plumber just used a masonary drill with hammer action for fitting the shower cubicle !!!!!!!!!!

Did the trick thank heavens , although if I had been there I would have said Nooooooooooooooooooo !

That is not a good thing to do on brand new tiles. You were lucky!

Too right, I was also concerned that the vibration might have knocked the plasterboard off the other side of the wall !!
