Don't whatever you do sign up for them - it is a total con

You might even get calls saying "remember we spoke about....., well the campaign has been a success and we are now looking where to send the invoice too...."

Keep at it mate, there is work out there, don't sit there waiting for the phone to ring. Get knocking on doors ( like a tiler version of Jehovah's Witnesses ) Instead of your briefcase and bible, take your portfolio instead : They keep on coming back no matter how many times they get the door slammed in their face ( and they are always smiling )

Kitchen compaines, bathroom companies, bar fitting firms, contract flooring companies, accost plumbers when you see their van at a petrol station, stop of at every new build you see along the road. Etc Etc

You have to admire the "Jehovah's Witnesses" they believe in what they say, they are committed and give of their free time to make people aware of their presence !
Whether we agree with them or not, we could all take a leaf out of their book as far as marketing goes !
Not many people can say they haven't heard of them !
How many people have heard of Python Tiling ?

Just don't knock on my door on a Sunday morning

Same here mate.Networking is not my strong point.ive got a few jobs just through friends on facebook my status is always "bathroom fitting and tiling call 07523203551" they pass on my number to work friends etc.If you want a big change though head overseas for a working holiday.I did 2 years in Australia and New Zealand, was the best thing ive ever done.there seems to be loads of work there and are always short of tradesmen in all fields.
