PVC Lighting Cable and Adhesive
Got a kitchen splash coming up in the next few weeks, the client has just had a new kitchen fitted with under cupboard spot lights, those halogen ones in a triangle shaped metal surround that every new kitchen i've ever done seem to have!!
The spark has left the cable on the surface of the plaster instead of chasing it into the wall. This may be a daft question but are there any issues with the wire and adhesive, it is flat cable, so im happy to tile over it as its not thick enough to cause a problem, but...
Will there be any reaction between the cable casing and the adhesive? ie does adhesive corrode cable, the addy is being supplied by the customer, mapei D1 tubbed.

Re: PVC Lighting Cable and Adhesive
i wouldnt think adhesive would rot cabling why not just cut it into the plaster first and tape it before tiling over?

Re: PVC Lighting Cable and Adhesive
Its only 1mm thick cable, i was thinking of putting a very shallow chase into the wall then going straight over it with addy aslong as their were do degradation issues.
Cheers
