Help with tile adhesive
I have just bought 15sqms of tiles for my bathroom walls
They are porcelain floor/wall size 330X500mm 8.5 mm thick
I cannot find any suitable adhesive.
Can anyone please advice me on what is best to get
If I cannot find anything suitable I will have to return the tiles
and buy smaller ceramic tiles with lots of choice for adhesive,
this is my first attempt at tiling and don’t wont them to fall off the walls
Do i need a special cutter for these tiles
Thanks

Re: Help with tile adhesive
And maybe an over obvious question missing, what type of walls have you got, plaster, plasterboard or other, and what finish is on the walls at the moment, this will also count in the preparation for your tiling as different surfaces will need ( maybe ) different prep

Re: Help with tile adhesive
Obviously Harry hasn't been offered the upsale by his tile supplier as some places make their money on adhesives - especially the sheds. I would have thought that Mapei Kerraquick flexible should be one that could be considered as it is suitable for most surfaces including wood. Although in powder form and fast setting it can be mixed in smaller quantities to avoid waste and certainly a better adhesive for the larger format tiles in respect of slippage/shrinkage. It varies in price- as do most on the grey and white powder adhesives. and you should decide on the grout colour prior to the adhesive choice ( unless you are a very clean tiler then go fot cheaper grey!.)
Keep asking and enjoy the experience!
