    Default Sealing porcelain

    Evening all,

Got a kitchen floor job coming up. 10m2, 600x600 slate effect, porcelain, B and Q tiles (anyone come across these?). I can hear people laughing already!. After reading previous posts on similar tiles am I right to assume these tiles will need sealing. If I'm honest, I wasn't aware that porcelain needed to be sealed.

    Cheers
    Pete

polished porcelain generally needs sealing. Solid body not normally. Check the box for instructions. If in doubt do a stain test on one.

    Wayne,

Did you seal them? any problems not doing so? Will do a stain test before I start anyway. All my cutting will be on my wet saw, my ts50 not big enough, may have to invest in something larger to cope with the increasingly popular larger format tiles.
