I need help please
I have had my son tile my b athroom floor he lined the floor with hard board on top of marine ply floor. he used agrout that i now know was out of date (didnt know it went out of date ) it was sold to me out of date and the tiles are lifting and the gout cracking.
I need to know what adhesive to use with travertine tiles on to a wooden floor I know iit should be flexible but is there anything specific.
please desperate.

You should not use hardboard on the floor Make sure the floor is stable enough to tile onto or you could still finish up with floor breaking up even if you use polymer modified adhesive.

If he has put hard board down , then that is the problem..

better to use a decoupling membrane with travertine tiles onto plywood ..imo
