Re: Scoring bumpy slate effect tiles
Q Rock do not need sealing however when I use them I always use BAL Protective Sealer prior to grouting, makes life a lot easier. Check out the link.

Re: Scoring bumpy slate effect tiles
I sometimes find a new wheel for the rubi works wonders on hard to cut tiles. Definately worth a try.

Re: Scoring bumpy slate effect tiles
I cut similar tiles with the Rubi TS60 plus. Fine on the straight but causes problems at an angle. Still possible but not straight forward.

Re: Scoring bumpy slate effect tiles
try a 18mm gold cutting wheel

Re: Scoring bumpy slate effect tiles
Yeh always worth a try, and i use a sigma myself and gotta say they the best scoreing cutter out here, well thats wot i think, they so easy to use and have a nice big base for the tile to sit on, just try it on a scrap peice of tile and see how it goes, but if bumps to big its better just to mark it with a pencil and wet cut it, cant go wrong, just takes longer :P

Re: Scoring bumpy slate effect tiles
personally i would use a wetcutter, but u may want to try scoring with the smallest wheel u can get, (6mm) i think, but even then i would think that only large cuts would be ok,
good luk

Re: Scoring bumpy slate effect tiles
I've cut these type of tiles before with a manual and wet cutter. Straight cuts are normally fine upto about 2 inches anything smaller you need to cut with a wet cutter
