Help with Nomore ply
I'm just about to tile a floor in a bathroom that i'm fitting. I've got some 'No More Ply' turning up, I've never used the stuff before but it suggests screwing AND gluing to the sub-floor, now i've no problem doing this but I feel sorry for the next person that has to tile it years down the line as I can't see how it will ever come back up.
When ever I fit a kitchen or bathroom i try to fit it in such a way that the next time it has to be done it doesn't cost the customer as much as the first time, sort of future proofing to an extent and seeing as I do get a far amount of repeat business I know that there may be a chance that I'd have to rip that floor up!
So my question is would you always advise gluing 'No More Ply'? I know it won't be as strong with out the glue but it is a small bathroom 1.6m x 2.5m once you get a bath in there the floor area is fairly small
EDIT: Thanks for moving my post, I didn't want to take up your forum with all my questions!

Hi mate, have used it : many, many, many times before,
follow manufacturers instructions, otherwise any guarantees will be null and void.
Never had any comebacks.
Good product

Have you ever taken off tiles laid onto it? does the board break up much? Could you screed over it and then tile and still have the benefits of the original 'no more ply'?

No !
have never had to remove tiles that I have laid onto No More Ply, it seems Bomb proof.
guess that you would have difficulty removing the No More Ply from any floor that it had been fixed to ( according to manufacturers instructions)

See that's the problem, I just hope that it isn't mine! When the customer decides that she no longer likes the ultra moden style and wants something else in 5-10 years time. I'm going to have to say that I'm very busy and she'll have to get someone else to fit her new bathroom.

Eeerm NO !
quote her on a day rate, as long as it takes, explain that the workmanship and prep work that you did was of the highest standard, guaranteed and reliable. If she decides to change the floor then at her cost ££££££££££
You would have done nothing wrong.
