Re: signing your own van.
I have magnetic signs on my van - have mentioned this before on a thread - got them from a firm in Torbay £29 {inc P&P} for two approx 2ft x 1ft, best deal I have found and a lot cheaper than some stick ons of the same size available on the internet or locally, annd of course you can transfer them if you change vehicles and there is no horrible sticky stuff to clean off.
If you would like to see a picture or get details of the firm PM me

Re: signing your own van.
got mine from a company that advertised on ebay, phoned them to arrange what i wanted. guy was so helpful. finish product looks very pro at a snip of the price. £75
when sticking it on best tip is to make it as small as possible. the big bits were a little hard. lining it up should be easy as being a tiler you should have a good eye.

his numbers 07885981886

Re: signing your own van.
I've always liked the sound of magnetic signing after my mate signed his van up (talking hundreds, big van) and had it wrote off within weeks (another parties fault) and insurance didn't cover the signing!

Re: signing your own van.
Like Ryhd4, I got all 4 sides of my Tranny Connect done in full colour for £125 from a local company.
One company quoted me £440. Shop around and you'll get a sensible deal. Leave the van with them for a Sat morning and it will be sorted by lunchtime - no probs!
Good luck fella.

I've got some magnetic signs for mine. The wife had them done by someone in Glasgow for around £40 IIRC. They are about 12 high by 36 wide.
I do put them on sometimes but there's an under achieving teenager nearby who thought it was funny to stick them on a neigbour's car. Annoying when they've cost you money.
The one good thing is that if they got removed and stuck on someone's car a few hundred yards away the owner can at least call you and tell you he's got it.
There are times when I don't want the signage on the van, so I find these quite useful. There is someone on the Screwfix forums who does work for celebrities and the like. He is often asked to arrive in a plane van.
Also, when I sneak into the tip, having a signwritten van is IMO a bit cheeky. They turn a blind eye to a lot of tradesmen, but parading it in their face may not win you any favours.

This is one of the best forms of advertising you would ever spend your money on so I would get it done properly, would pay for itself in no time!!
can get a transit done for £99 all round in London.

Re: signing your own van.
Ref magnates getting nicked. I haven't had any problems most people don't even realise they are magnets. The only problem I had wwhen I changed vans wa sthat the old van had been signed with sticky back signs before I had it and when I went to remove them one got ruined as it had stuck to the old glue. I ordered anew pair, one for each side and put the old one on the back. Also if you want to go anywhere incognito {never been there myself - think its somewhere in northern Italy} it only takes a couple of minutes to remove refit. Did this when I took personal rubbish {had done kichen refurb on my house} to the tip as they charge if the van is signed and won't believe its your personal waste.
