Default Am i underpicing my slate work

Just stareted a bathroom refurb on a house the customers had a builder in to do a lot of work. He laid 13 m slate brick bond with huge grout gap in exsess of 20 mm and left the customer to grout and seal. His bill £750.00 customer supplied adhesive etc and the tiles are square enough for 5mm grout. And the best bit it only took an afternoon. ( doesnt look as it took him that long more like 10 mins)

Has anyone done a slate mosaics tiling job? What are they like to work with and how much would you charge for them?

Since they come in a mesh backed format (30cm x 30cm)- they should be simple enough to do right? and less cutting.. am I right?

Used slate mosaics... all different length strips really... very fiddly.
