hi all, just wanted to know what type of guarantee you give with your work when you talk to your customer. Starting up myself in a few months when i leave my current job and just wanted to know really. Also being a newbe to tiling would you reccommend just starting on small jobs nothing too complexed as a start or would you go all guns blazing and advertise the lot.I know it may sound daft trying to do something you know not much about but, dont really want to turn work down but then again dont want to be making a pigs ear of someones house.I am a competant tiler and can do majority of jobs and have completed quite a few floors and a few kitchens and bathrooms, but things like marble and natural stone i have never touched.
Many thanks ,advice really appreciated thanks.

Re: guarantee
I think a year is sufficient tbh.Hopefully you wont get called back if the job is fixed properly in the first place.Get what you can(jobwise) and if you are stuck then you can use the forums for advice.Read up on marble and natural stone on the forum ,so that you have a better understanding of how to fix and seal them...you need to do the homework m8.

Re: guarantee
Its gonna look a little daft me giving you advise but this is what I plan to do when/if I get jobs to big for me to handle alone. ask a more exsperianced tiler to join you on the job. I'm sure in the current market there will be plenty willing to. share the fee, the other tiler will be glad of the work and you will still be recommended to others.

Re: guarantee
I guarantee that I will rectify any defective workmanship, due to incorrect use of materials ( adhesive etc )
This is long standing
I have enough confidence in my work to give this guarantee
