| door finishing | | Thought i'd start a new thread by asking you all how you finish at a door;
1.do you use an expansion joint
or
2.tile trim
or
3.do you have another method?
I have used the two methods because some customers want to keep the facings on.
Just curious peeps. Bri

| Re: door finishing | | Mostly a tile-carpet/laminate trim, however sometimes a nice piece of stained/varnished wood is more suitable, all depends on what other material the tiles are joining and how big a step. | | |

| Re: door finishing | | Aahh, got ya m8. usually just tile up to architrave (leave expansion gap) and silicone.
Did a job a while back where there was no archirtave around door, so I tiled up to the edge then stuck some uPVC over the top to look like architrave, looked nice too, will see if I can find a photo.
