| Some advice on movement joints | | My kitchen/ dining room floor is as flat as the lake district!!! Im laying plywood and using self leveling compound to level the floor. Which means a movement joint must be used, Unless anyone out there knows a way so that a movement joint wont be needed?

Could you tell me where the best place to get self leveling compound from? I need to level to about 40mm in height..and 5 square mtr area? | |

#10 | | Tilers Forums Admin | Re: Some advice on movement joints | | i see you are in sunderland, so use c.t.d. and they stock ardex k15 which will go up to 50mm in one go by adding small grade chippings to it, full instructions on back of bag, i swear by it , it has a good flow rate and fast curing time ( light foot traffic 2 - 3 hrs and can be tiled on following day regardless of thickness. 1 bag does about 2sqr mtrs at about 6mm thick , costs around £20.00 for 22kg bag.
