All the Best Den,to be honest i dont think now is the right time for someone to start up as self employed as their is not a great deal of work around for anyone, not just newbies,i know i got some jobs for January and a few of my contracts, but a few of the lads have no work on at all for january. This is only my opinion, but i would be surprised to hear people disagree.

I have to agree with Medlar here Den i only tile part-time and it's extremely quite atm. If you haven't got contacts and jobs lined up it could be very difficult for you.

Test the water in your area mate, but I really wouldnt give up your job at the moment, work is very scarce for some people at the moment.
