    Default what a load?

    so many costomers now going for the cheap b&q and homebase tiles they dont realise the problems we face when it comes to lay them. finished job today costomer happy with results but i was not tiles were warped nightmare to keep level job took at least a day more to fit. polished porcelain b&q next time i wont be doing them credit crunch or no credit crunch!

    Too true mate,did some large format homebase specials the other week,they were shockingly bent/warped in the middle,luckily i shown customer before starting the job,layed brickbond so not too bad in the end,ya gets wat ya pay for.

    was thinking of doing mobile tile shop with tile market try and give costomer a look at better quality tiles save us hartache and might bring in more money what do you think!

    What as in a market stall you mean?good idea but can you wait till summer

    It amazes me how these sub standard tiles are aloud to be sold,don't tiles after go threw British/european standards or owt like that?

    I've read a lot of guys having trouble with the b&q polished porcelain tiles,i've got them in my kitchen 600x600m ood batch.and had no trouble with them at all,must have gotten a g

    Hi ,Maybe they are selling second class tiles and repacking as First class! It happens over here.
    When you must fit them advise the customer to buy more than the 10% to 15% for cuts,say 40% . Mabe then, they think of buying Quality!

    just laid 30m2 of 330x330 B&Q ceramics...they were all different sizes, even from same box. I guess I should have known I was in for trouble when the box said "tile size...(approx)"

    I've found brick bond usually shows the "warps" more, if your tile rises in the middle, on your next course you're gonna have a low end next to a raised middle, if that makes sense!
