Removing a shower.
Hi everyone, my father-in-law has asked me to tile his ensuite shower enclosure which will involve removing old tiles and the old shower. I know I will probably have to re-board but I've never taken a shower out before and wondered if there is anything I should look out for or if you have any tips. Thankfully I wont be fitting the new one.

Re: Removing a shower.
assuming it is a normal shower, isolate the power from the mains, shower should have its own fuse box (holder)turn off the water at the mains (unless you have a isolator valve fitted) Take off face cover of shower, disconnect inlet supply pipe ( if no isolator valve is fitted now is the time to fit one,or a blank end cap) disconnect the wiring from the shower, now remove shower unit from wall.Take shower fuse out and leave out, that way no power to your cables, saves any accidents happening)Now turn on water supply
hope this helps mate
