Default Battens.

What do you all use for battens, was thinking of getting 8x4 sheet of ply and getting it cut into inch and a half wide strips, seems a tad expensive though, any ideas. Cheers.

Batten wood from B&Q, check it to make sure it's not warped.

I also have drilled holes in my levels and use them sometimes.

They are wooden straight edges, normaly used when putting your first row of tiles on a wall. They make sure your first row is straight and also stops them slipping.
