Aqua panel installation
Just had a quick look on the aqua panel website and recommends using their ceramic coated screws to attach to batons. I've got 3 boards to fix up in a shower (1000mm x 800mm approx) just wondering if a good old hefty nail would do the trick instead (250mm centres). Might save me a bit of time.
Any ideas?

Re: Aqua panel installation
make sure there galvy! on second thoughts use screws, screws cause less movement over time, the reason old staircarses creak is because they were done with nails(not common practice anymore)

Re: Aqua panel installation
If you use nails there's a risk of damaging the panels as I found them to be quite brittle.
Far better to use screws, the correct ones self-drill and also have teeth on the underside of the head to ensure they end up flush with the surface.

Re: Aqua panel installation
if you have a ctd or topps nearby ask for hardibacker screws, they are double threaded, flush fitting, gavanised and have the correct bit in the box. do not use nails they will loosen over time

Re: Aqua panel installation
nails will become loose. Also screws get the board tight to the battons. I used the ceramic screws had, no probs.
