Discuss Fantastic mosaic job in the Tiling Forum at TilersForums; wow.Check this out for mosaic.And it was laid hundreds of years ago. Amazing floor in Cologne cathedral. The Koelsch bier was also great in cologne....

    wow.Check this out for mosaic.And it was laid hundreds of years ago. Amazing floor in Cologne cathedral. The Koelsch bier was also great in cologne.

    Bet they didn;t use Bal flexy.

    They started laying the mosiac sometime around the year 1750.The whole Dom took 500 years to build. Finished in 1880. Here endeth the history lesson. I think they worked @ 1 bier per metre2.

    While reading more about the Cologne cathredral, I found this photo of the staircase ascending the spire of the Ulm cathedral. Look at the stonework!

    AND it all originates from the Eygptians...........stone work I mean..........then the Greeks took it a bit further, then the Romans even further............incredible stone work IMO.

    One thing for sure, I would never be able to do that without a whole lot more training, and then I still proabably be able to pull it off
