Auqa panel in the
Tiling Forum at TilersForums;
Alright fellas,
Am i right in thinking if you use auqa panel in a shower area,you don't need to use a tanking system, Cheers guys.... -

...you may want to consider taping the joints though if you are looking for a bit more protection from moisture.

yeah thats fine but you might want to look at hardibacker board, its pretty much the same only i found it alot easier to cut (doesnt crumble like aqua panel). unless they have improved the board since the last time i used it (3 years ish)

Can anyone give me a rough price for hardibacker board? Got a quote tonight to re-tile a leaking shower, 3 of the walls might need boarding but not used the stuff before and wondering how much that would cost so i can give him a reasonably accurate quote.

you will pay around £10 ex-v.a.t. for a 12mm 1200x800 board (0.96m2)
try your local CTD if you have one!
