    Default Re: Easyboard

    Hi,

In the early part of 2008, I was give a pallet of Easy Board to field test for Custom. We used it on walls, and were moderately happy with it. I can tell you that it is NOT like Wedi board in terms of quality, but it is selling here in the US for ~ 1/3 the price of Wedi. Some of the guys that I know at the John Bridge forum used it on floors and were happy with it. I don't agree with using standard backer baord screws to fasten the panels because the skin of the panel is too soft and it's easy to overdrive the fastener. We used Wedi fasteners that have the large washer head.

Something in the Easyboard is itchy so we started using gloves.

Thinset and liquid waterproofers stick well to the surface of the board.
