    Exclamation hacks, kins, splits!!

whatever you call them, when you're finger ends start to split they can be very uncomfortable!! Last year this happened to me so my wife got me some hemp hand cream from body shop, a bit pricey (£9, I think), splits cleared up within 2 days. I use it all the time now in cold weather.Got to look after your hands guys and gals!

That hemp cream is quite ok, but I find that a combo of using cortisone cream and prescription softening creams works better. Just show yer heands to a dermatologist and he'll be all "oooooooh! Cool!" and prescribe you half a dozen creams, and possibly medical manicure.

Shower oil makes it easier for your skin to heal btw, but if you're a cheap git, some olive oil works as well. Soaking you hands in warm water+salt+oil is also nice, and becomes even better if you also use a hand file, and better yet if you follow up with a salt rub, and following that up with some really fat hand creams is even better.

Sauna bathing is very effective too.

The cool thing about having had eczema all my life is that I know pretty much everything of value when it comes to caring for my skin, and when I need to go see the dermatologist, to refill my prescriptions for über creams, he'll just say "hoi mate, which creams do you need?", and I just tell him and off I go

Don't forget to wear protective gloves and to use protective creams when you work.
